Understanding the market

The industry recommends listing prices based on similar homes to the one you are selling (known as comparables, or “comps”).

Real estate agents usually conduct a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) to determine the right listing price for your home. This simply means that they look at homes similar to your home to get a sense for relative value.
